Teller County arrests

The following list of arrests is provided by area law enforcement agencies. An arrest is not an indication of guilt or innocence and there might be several people with the same name living in the county.

Woodland Park Police Department

Jan. 30

David Veren, 51, of Woodland Park, was arrested with two outstanding warrants. Veren was transported to the Teller County Jail on $252,000 bond.

Jan. 31

Samantha Hannappel, 17, and Nathaniel Dekonig, 36, both of Woodland Park, were involved in a two-vehicle traffic accident with no injuries. Hannappel was issued a citation for turning left in front of approaching traffic.

Feb. 1

A report of identity theft was taken in the 300 block of East South Avenue. The case is open pending further investigation.

A report of harassment was taken in the 500 block of North Center Street. The case is open pending further investigation.

Feb. 2

A report of theft was taken in the 19600 block of East U.S. 24. The case is open pending further investigation.

Joseph Bingen, 48, of Woodland Park, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. Bingen was transported to the Teller County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

A report of harassment was taken in the 1000 block of East U.S. 24. The case is open pending further investigation.

Jan. 30-Feb. 6, Woodland Park Police responded to one outside agency assist and three private property traffic accidents.

Feb. 7

Theodore Eaton, 21, of Colorado Springs, and Kellye Nelson, 46, of Woodland Park, were involved in a two-vehicle traffic accident with no injuries. Eaton was issued a citation for speeding.

Feb. 10

Gary Bieske, 53, of Woodland Park, John Davis, 62, of Colorado Springs, and Todd Wisley, 37, of Colorado Springs, were involved in a three-vehicle traffic accident with minor injuries. Bieske was issued a citation for following too closely.

Feb. 11

A report of trespassing and theft was taken in the 500 block of East U.S. 24. The case is open pending further investigation.

Feb. 6-12, Woodland Park Police responded to three private property traffic accidents.

Feb. 13

A report of theft was taken in the 700 block of Gold Hill Place. The case is open pending further investigation.

Feb. 14

A report of criminal impersonation and crimes against at-risk adults was taken in the 200 block of Eagle Pines Drive. The case is open pending further investigation.

A report of identity theft and unauthorized use of financial transaction was taken in the 100 block of Red Rock Court. The case is open pending further investigation.

Feb. 16

A report of theft was taken in the 19000 block of East U.S. 24. The case is open pending further investigation.

A report of harassment was taken in the 1100 block of Park View Road. The case is open pending further investigation.

Feb. 17

Milton Bork, 58, of Woodland Park, and Susan Elak, 54, of Woodland Park, were involved in a two-vehicle traffic accident with no injuries.

Ryan Brandt, 23, of Divide, was arrested on charges of menacing, false imprisonment and kidnapping. Brandt was transported to the Teller County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Feb. 19

Brian Kennedy, 27, of Woodland Park was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with excessive alcohol content, domestic violence, assault, harassment and obstruction of telephone service. Kennedy was transported to the Teller County Jail on a $3,000 bond.

Feb. 13-19, Woodland Park Police responded to four private property traffic accidents and two outside agency assists.

Feb. 4

Jeffrey Joseph Morgan, 32, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on charges of driving while license under restraint (denied) and speed regulations. Bond was set at $2,000.

Feb. 9

Daniel Lee Wildermuth, 26, of Cascade, was arrested on charges of failure to maintain a single lane (weaving), driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol and driving a motor vehicle with excessive alcohol content. Bond was set at $1,000.

James Richard Singleton, 39, of Woodland Park, was arrested on charges of third-degree assault, harassment and two counts of child abuse. Bond was set at $800.

Feb. 10

Thomas Anthony Cabrera, 24, of Pueblo, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (prescription drugs) and offenses relating to marijuana (possession of less than one ounce of marijuana). Bond was set at $1,000.

Jeffrey G. Schiffel, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence, lane usage violation and failure to display proof of insurance. Bond was set at $1,000.

Feb. 11

Kyle A. Jensen, 25, of Littleton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence. Bond was set at $1,000.

Benjamin Collin Shoptaugh, 21, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on a warrant charging credit card/ID theft (used information to obtain). Bond was set at $3,000.

Feb. 13

Russell Wade Marquette, 32, of Woodland Park, was arrested on charges of failure to remain at the scene to give information after an accident, failure to notify police of an accident, drove a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drove a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, careless driving, failure to notify authority of change of address, failure to sign registration/title and false reporting to authorities. Bond was set at $1,000.

Feb. 14

James Christopher Sanchez, 20, of Cripple Creek, was arrested on charges of false imprisonment, third-degree assault, obstruction of telephone service, criminal mischief, harassment and domestic violence. Bond was set at $6,000.

Joshua Sherwood Mooney, 32, of Woodland Park, was arrested on two warrants; first warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of expired license plates, driving under restraint and no insurance, bond $6,400; and the second warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of failure to stop at a stop sign, driving under restraint, no insurance and failure to display proof of insurance, bond $12,000.

Feb. 15

Sherry Cleo Schrader, 42, of Divide, was arrested on charges of failure to use turn signal and driving under restraint (canceled/denied). Bond was set at $800.

Paula Jean Biddle, 30, of Cripple Creek, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of driving under restraint. Bond was set at $1,000.

Isaiah Matthew Chacon, 32, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of schedule 2 controlled substance, driving under restraint (suspended), driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. Bond was set at $1,000.

Feb. 16

Alex Sean Davis, 25, of Woodland Park was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer and possession of marijuana concentrate (less than two ounces). Bond was set at $500.

Feb. 17

Victor David Cordero Maysonet, 37, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on charges of driving under revocation and failure to dim headlights. Bond was set at $10,000.

Natasha Breanne Trejo, 20, of Woodland Park, was arrested on charges of driving while license revoked (canceled/denied). Bond of $1,000.

Feb. 18

Michael David Moran, 54, of Divide, was arrested on charges of failure to drive in a single lane and driving under the influence of drugs. Bond was set at $1,000.

Feb. 19

Rafael Domingo Mendez, 27, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in a single lane. Bond was set at $2,000.

Christopher Paul Madden Dodson, 27, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, driving with excessive alcohol content, lane usage (weaving), possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana concentrate and possession of an open container. Bond was set at $1,000.

Jesus Manuel Hernandez-Chavez, 34, of Pueblo, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of registration violation (fictitious plate), driving without a driver’s license and failure to display proof of insurance. Bond was set at $1,000.

Feb. 20

Marsha Mae Rice, 34, of Cripple Creek, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of driving under restraint. Bond was set at $1,000.
