McAfee wanted for questioning
John McAfee, former resident of Woodland Park and founder of the McAfee antivirus company and Tribal Voice, is currently on the run in Belize. According to articles in Wired and the Huffington Post, McAfee has been named a person of interest by the Belize police force.
McAfee is wanted for questioning in the murder of his neighbor, Gregory Faull, who was found dead of a shotgun wound at his home in San Pedro Town on the island of Amergris Caye.
McAfee's Woodland Park ties go back to the anti-virus company as well as a yoga studio in his home on Edlowe Rd. The home was later sold at auction in a foreclosure sale.
Janice Hamlet, who lives on County Road 28, knew McAfee only in passing “He was friendly; we went to his house for a time or two,” Hamlet said. “We knew him as a person who had money and made a name for himself.”
Hamlet knew of the yoga studio but otherwise had not been to the house since McAfee opened the studio.
