There were no injuries in the fire that destroyed a home at 90 Manchester Circle in Florissant Nov. 12. Firefighters from Divide and Florissant responded to the call around 9:19 a.m. and stopped the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
The fire started in the wood stove, said Teller County Sheriff Mike Ensminger. “No other properties were destroyed but some trees caught on fire,” Ensminger said. “We were fortunate there was no wind, as there was yesterday, because the home is in a subdivision.”
