Dick Lackmond, a member of the recall committee in Green Mountain Falls, speaks out about the effort to recall several trustees.
“The pending recall comes from a distrust of the board,” Lackmond said. “It is evident that the board is not communicating between themselves; decisions have been made without involving the entire board.”
As well, Lackmond took a shot at the marshal's trustee Howard Price.
“Mr. Price has a vendetta against the police department,” he said. “Several people have been screaming and hollering that the board is not listening to them.”
At this point, Lackmond said, several residents are looking at the legal ramifications of a recall. “It won't be all the board, a couple of people are subject to the recall,” he said, declining to name any of the trustees.
At Lackmond's suggestion, Mayor Lorrie Worthey has scheduled a public meeting to discuss community issues as an agenda item for the regular Aug. 6 meeting.
